Colony has been a great company for all our copier needs. From product support to new product purchases, Colony doesn’t skip a beat on service. The copier technicians are friendly and will go out of their way to make sure the machines are in good working order before they leave our location. When supplies are needed in a pinch, we get them in usually the very next day.

Over the last 5 years, I have had the pleasure of working with Colony Business Systems both directly and through Canon National Accounts. When we have to place a service call through Canon National, we always receive a response within the SLA timeframe from Colony Business Systems. The technicians are courteous and friendly and they always call to let us know when we can expect them to be onsite. Occasionally, if a technician is in our area, they will stop in simply to say “Hi” and check to see how our machines are running.

Whether you are walking into their store, or you place a call, you will be greeted by friendly people that do everything they can to make sure you are taken care of. The president of Colony Business Systems will often reach out to us and make sure that we are receiving the type of service that we expect. From the top down, they continually prove to us that they value our business and that they are the best company to support our Canon National account.

We’ve been working with Colony since the late 90’s. I think we’ve leased 9 Canon copiers (6 color, 3 BW) through them along with 2 Canon 42” plotters. This is one of our longest vendor relationships and I recommend them to anyone looking for the tops in quality and service.

I deal with Mike Laverty and Chris Cheston for sales and they are very responsive, to the point that Mike responds to texts on vacation. They rate a 10 out of 10 for everything. I’m not a paid shill, but I guess I should be… we just signed a new lease last week on a new color ImageRUNNER advance c5550i. Somehow with each contract they manage to drop our monthly payments and cost per click.

For the first 3-4 devices I ran Colony up against the competition for quotes, click rates, service and time after time they were the winner. A lot of those companies didn’t make it through the last recession. I’ve actually dealt with other hardware (and vendors) through volunteer involvement with church, scouts, friends’ small business, etc. and I can tell you I’d never spend my company’s money on KM, Ricoh, or Toshiba. Don’t get me started on dealings with TBS or Conestoga. I don’t bother with competitive quotes anymore because no one else came close for awesome color, easy sales/lease inception and delivery.

After the sale, Colony techs are very knowledgeable even though I hardly ever see them. I also like that consumables are included in our contract: when we’re out of toner, staples, waste toner bottles, etc., we just call the service number and they ship the stuff direct to the office.


Colony Business Systems has had a vendor relationship with us now for over ten years. Colony is our preferred vendor for all of our copiers and printers for our Lititz office location. We rely on Colony to evaluate our needs, recommend and install new equipment as well as maintain our existing equipment.

Colony has saved us considerable time and expense over the years with their timely and reliable service to our offices. Although we have many vendor relationships, we have not found anyone that has better customer service than Colony. Their office staff is always attentive, courteous, friendly and very professional, as are all of their technicians.

Colony’s technicians provide options for equipment that is not performing properly; they also communicate these options clearly. The technicians have many resources available to them and seem to work well together as an organization. We’ve been pleased with the solutions they have implemented.

Colony is our preferred vendor because of their technical expertise and their superior customer service. We know that we can rely on them for routine service as well as emergency services. We feel good about the relationship we have built with them and we remain confident that our copiers/printers are well maintained.
